August 2021’s Member of the Month: Jaden Colomb

In my younger days, I never struggled or had issues with my weight. My mom always had me participate in extracurricular activities such as Football, Baseball etc.

When I entered Middle School, I wasn’t as interested in continuing those activities. I stopped playing sports; I found myself overeating, snacking, & playing the Game All Night Long. Throughout that time, my weight escalated. While attending a doctors appointment, it was mentioned to me & my mom that I needed to start making healthier choices by dieting & losing weight. For me that went in one ear and out the other.

In December of 2020, my mom decided to join RevFit Bootcamp to have a healthier lifestyle. Throughout her journey, I’ve watched her transition mentally, physically & emotionally while assisting her with meal prepping. At that time, I noticed that healthy eating wasn’t as bad as I thought.

My mom asked me several times if I was interested in joining. I declined each time because of my own fears and insecurities – not realizing that my insecurities were causing me not to enjoy & have a youthful life. Because of that, I never wanted to go to events & outings with family or friends.

In May of 2021 I attended another doctors appointment. Yes, I gained more weight. All my vitals were good but if I continued down this path it would lead to serious problems. That night me & my mom had a serious conversation, and I realized it was time for a change.

I finally agreed & my mom enrolled me in the Youth Bootcamp. My Journey then began and the transition to eating healthier & working out wasn’t that bad. I’m now 2 Months in & down 41 Pounds. I started out at 342 pounds and now at 301 Pounds. I’m more determined & motivated than ever.
I would like to Thank All My Trainers (Ms. Apphia, Ms. Crystal, Ms. Kristan, Ms. Alexis & Ms. Yvonne) and my Mom for pushing & instilling In me that no matter how hard the workouts are Never Give Up.
In their Words…
“Don’t Stop When You’re Tired, Stop When You’re Done”.

So as I continue my weight loss journey I’ll continue to give my best, believe in myself, challenge all limits & inspire others…

So here’s to another 5 years of building a better stronger me…
