After going through numerous health challenges that hindered me from being a productive mother, coach, and all-around person, I decided to join RevFit gym in August 2017. Not only did starting Bootcamp and embracing a healthy lifestyle heal me physically, but it also tapped into making me stronger mentally.
I realized that I had the ability to be more beneficial to my family, friends, and boys on my basketball team. In November of 2017, I began training to be a Spin instructor, and the rest has been a whirlwind since. In 2018, Crystal and I not only trained women in Bootcamp, but we also trained players who successfully won District Championships, reached Top 28 in the state, and obtained numerous individual accolades as well.
In 2019, we went on to win the first ever boys’ basketball championship in the history of North Central High School. I also was named 1A Boys’ Basketball Coach of the Year – the first woman in a male sport in Louisiana History. Upon completing that year, I hung up my coaching shoes and transitioned to full-time training of women, youth, and athletes (now working on creating Axiom Training).
My joy and love come from having the ability to share with others the gift that was given to me when joining the gym; a nutritious lifestyle that offered peace and happiness. It also gives me the ability to pour into our youth to create a brighter future for the world. Being a trainer is not just a job for me, it is a valuable “present” that I wish to share everyday with others.
