March’s Member of the Month: Yanissa Guillory!
I’m forever grateful for the 1 day that I became short of breath crossing the street to check my mailbox. I felt disgusted with myself physically, at that time. I didn’t understand how & why this was happening to me, because I really thought I was physically active with exercising & making better food choices. This was a good start, but apparently not good enough for me. I realized that my exercise regime needed to be more intense. My food plan needed to be stricter. Above all though, motivation & commitment was a requirement I had to work on to succeed with my fitness journey. After reaching out to a member, I decided to join RevFit Gym on 04/22/2017. I lost 10 pounds prior to joining & 40 pounds under the direction of Candice & Sandra. These trainers taught me how to be consistent with motivation & commitment to myself.
My fitness journey consists of a healthier meal plan, along with a regular exercise program. I have become a gym addict. The hardest thing about exercise is to start doing it, but once you are doing it regularly, the hardest thing is to stop. Even when a pandemic is going on & being on the frontline in the medical field, I still show up & put in the work, so I can better my life. Why? Consistency + Motivation= Commitment
